Museum Kimchikan, situated in Insa-dong, Seoul, is a distinctive food museum centred on kimchi, a key component of Korean cuisine. Founded in 1986, it was the first of its kind in Korea, showcasing the history, varieties, and cultural relevance of kimchi. Guests can engage in kimchi-making demonstrations, tastings, and cooking classes. The museum operates from Tuesday to Sunday, closing on Mondays and during significant holidays. Admission is KRW 5,000 for adults, KRW 3,000 for adolescents, and KRW 2,000 for children. The Cabbage Kimchi Workshop costs KRW 25,000. In 2015, CNN named it one of the top food museums globally.
