Square‑Victoria‑OACI, in central Montreal, is a historic urban square named in recognition of the International Civil Aviation Organization (OACI/ICAO) presence in the city. Dating to the 19th century, as Montreal grew as a commercial and financial centre, the square is bordered by notable Beaux‑Arts and Victorian architecture and features public art, monuments and a distinctive fountain. It acts as a cultural junction between Old Montreal and the business district, close to heritage bank façades and period streetscapes. As a public open space it is generally accessible year‑round without an admission fee, reachable by pedestrian routes and public transport and commonly fitted with level pathways for mobility access. The square’s layered past and preserved buildings reflect Montreal’s economic development and civic identity.
