Donhwamun, the principal gate of Changdeokgung Palace, is a designated treasure of South Korea and carries significant historical and cultural importance. Constructed in 1412 during the reign of King Taejong, it was rebuilt in 1608 after being destroyed during the Imjin War. Donhwamun is remarkable for its unique five-bay structure, making it the oldest surviving palace gate in Korea. Visitors can enjoy the picturesque grounds of Changdeokgung, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its stunning gardens and traditional architecture.
