Porta Volta, built in 1880, is one of the newest gates in Milan, situated along the former Spanish walls. It provides an important link between the city and the Monumental Cemetery, as well as the modern road to Como. Designed by Cesare Beruto, the gate features two customs houses that have undergone various adaptations over the years. The area, now called Piazzale Baiamonti, has become a busy traffic junction. Visitors can enjoy the historical architecture and tranquil park. Admission is free, and the site is conveniently accessible by public transport.
