Urania Sternwarte is a historic public observatory situated in Zurich, Switzerland, that was founded in 1907. Its name is derived from the Greek muse of astronomy and it houses a notable 30 cm refracting telescope designed by Carl Zeiss AG. The observatory holds cultural importance and is designated as a Class A national heritage site. Visitors can partake in paid tours from Tuesday to Friday at 8 PM, enjoying breathtaking views of the city, Lake Zurich, and the Alps, despite light pollution restricting some celestial observations. There is also a restaurant and bar on-site, making it an ideal destination for both education and relaxation.
