Puente Viejo, known as the Old Bridge, is a historic landmark situated in Ronda, Andalusia, Spain. Constructed in 1616, it stands as the oldest and smallest of Ronda's three bridges, crossing the picturesque Guadalevín River. It initially served as a crucial link between Ronda’s old town and the Mercadillo district. The bridge features distinctive balconied niches added during an 18th-century renovation that provide stunning views of the El Tajo Gorge. Interestingly, despite its name, the Puente Viejo is newer than the Roman Bridge. Visitors can enjoy its rustic charm and rich history while experiencing a more tranquil setting compared to the busy Puente Nuevo.
