Heungnyemun, the second gate of Gyeongbokgung Palace located in Jongno District, Seoul, holds significant historical importance, having been originally constructed during the Joseon Dynasty in 1395. It was demolished during the Japanese colonial period but was restored to its original position in 1945. Visitors can admire this grand structure and explore nearby attractions such as Gwanghwamun Plaza and the Statue of King Sejong. The site is accessible by public transport, with Gyeongbokgung, Gwanghwamun, and City Hall subway stations nearby. There are no entry fees, and it remains open throughout the year.
