Čumil is a well-known bronze statue situated at the crossroads of Laurinská, Panská, and Rybárska brána streets in Bratislava. Designed by sculptor Viktor Hulík, it was unveiled on July 26, 1997, during the Korzo party celebrating the revitalised pedestrian area. The statue has become one of the city’s most photographed landmarks, frequently mistaken for a soldier due to its cap adorned with a pom-pom. Rather, Čumil embodies a Bratislava urban explorer. The vibrant surroundings make it a popular spot for visitors.
