The Stiftskirche St. Simon und Judas in Goslar was constructed between 1040 and 1050 and served as an important Romanesque church within the Imperial Palace complex. It was demolished in the early 1800s, but the northern entrance hall still stands. Visitors can appreciate its historical significance and architectural features, such as octagonal capitals and a beautifully sculpted façade. This site represents the power of the Holy Roman Empire and is being developed into a public garden that incorporates archaeological discoveries. Admission is free, and the site is accessible for everyone.
