Gran Vía is one of Madrid's most iconic streets, extending roughly 1.3 kilometres from Calle de Alcalá to Plaza de España. Built in the early 20th century and completed between 1924 and 2015, it is renowned for its exquisite architecture, lively theatres, and shopping venues. Referred to as "Madrid's Broadway," the street features numerous theatres and cinemas. Key attractions include the Edificio Metrópolis and the Palacio de la Prensa. Gran Vía is easily reachable via the Madrid Metro, with several stations located along the street. Although there are no entry fees for walking the street itself, individual attractions may have admission charges. The area is pedestrian-friendly with wide pavements, catering to all visitors.
