The Temple of Athena Nike, situated on the Acropolis of Athens, celebrates Greece's triumph over the Persians at the Battle of Salamis in 480 BC. Built between 421 and 416 BC, this remarkable example of Ionic architecture was designed by Callicrates. Measuring just 8 meters long and 5.5 meters wide, it contains a statue of Athena as Nike, representing victory. Visitors can explore its detailed frieze and reliefs illustrating mythological events. The temple is under restoration, and while visiting hours may differ, it is typically open to the public. An admission fee is charged, and the site is generally accessible.
