Polonezköy Tabiat Parkı, Beykoz, İstanbul, Marmara Bölgesi, Türkiye
Polonezköy Tabiat Parkı, originally established as Adampol in 1842 by Polish settlers, is a historic village and protected nature park on Istanbul’s Anatolian side. It features mixed broadleaf woodland, meadows and restored wooden villas that reflect the community’s 19th‑century Polish roots. The site is culturally important as a long‑standing Polish enclave in Turkey, with vernacular architecture, a small museum and seasonal cultural events that underline Polish‑Turkish connections. Principal attractions include wooded walking trails, picnic clearings, viewpoints, birdwatching, traditional wooden houses and a historic cemetery. The park is generally open during daylight hours throughout the year; modest admission charges or facility fees may apply. Visitor amenities include basic picnic and restroom areas and some paved sections to assist access, while many paths remain natural and can be uneven, limiting full wheelchair access.
