The Equestrian Statue of Marcus Aurelius is an extraordinary ancient Roman bronze sculpture situated on Capitoline Hill in Rome. Erected around 175 AD, it depicts the emperor in a commanding pose, symbolising power and majesty. This statue is one of the only two surviving bronze statues of a pre-Christian Roman emperor, preserved due to a historical confusion with Constantine the Great. Tourists can see the original at the Capitoline Museums, while a replica is placed in the Piazza del Campidoglio. The site is accessible, allowing visitors to enjoy its historical and cultural importance. Admission to the museums may vary, so check online for current visiting hours and fees.
