Calderstones House, situated in Calderstones Park, Liverpool, is a historic mansion from the 19th century, constructed in 1828. Initially the home of lead shot manufacturer Joseph Need Walker, it represents restrained neo-classical design. The estate was acquired by Charles MacIver, co-founder of Cunard Line, in 1875 and was gifted to Liverpool Corporation in 1902. Now, it functions as The Reader's International Centre for Shared Reading, fostering literature and well-being.
