Piazza Tasso is the main square in Sorrento, Italy, named after the renowned poet Torquato Tasso. The square features a statue of Tasso on a granite pedestal, alongside a statue of Saint Antoninus, the town's patron saint. Once known as Largo del Castello, it was home to a castle erected by Ferdinand of Aragon. The square is bordered by significant structures, including the Church of Santa Maria del Carmine, which contains a notable painting by Onofrio Avellino. It serves as a lively centre for shopping, dining, and cultural activities, attracting both locals and visitors alike.
