The Sveti Nedelya Cathedral in Sofia is a notable Bulgarian Orthodox church dedicated to Saint Nedelya. It functions as the cathedral of the Sofia Metropolitan and features impressive Neo-Byzantine architecture. Originally constructed in the 10th century, the church has seen several reconstructions, particularly following a catastrophic terrorist attack in 1925. Visitors can enjoy its exquisite frescoes and the burial site of the Serbian King Stefan Uroš II, whose relics are preserved here. The cathedral remains an active place of worship, open to visitors daily. There is no admission fee, and accessibility is good, allowing everyone to appreciate its rich history and cultural importance.
