The Santorini Cable Car, known locally as Teleferico, is an essential transport link on Santorini Island, Greece. Completed in 1982 with funding from the Loula & Evangelos Nomikos Foundation, it was constructed to offer an easier option compared to the steep ascent of around 600 steps or mule rides to Fira, the capital. The cable car enhances tourism by providing a scenic journey with stunning views of the Aegean Sea and the caldera.
