The Monument to San Fernando, situated in Plaza Nueva, Seville, is a magnificent equestrian statue honouring King Ferdinand III, who captured Seville in 1248 and was canonized in 1671. Created by architect Juan Talavera y Heredia and completed in 1924, this neogothic structure showcases sculptures of notable figures from the Reconquista, including Alfonso X and Ramón de Bonifaz.
