Tiber Island - Free Audio Guide

Tiber Island, known as 'Isola Tiberina' in Italian, is the only river island in the Tiber River that flows through Rome. This boat-shaped island is rich in history, once home to a temple dedicated to Aesculapius, the god of medicine. Presently, it boasts the Fatebenefratelli Hospital and the historic Church of San Bartolomeo. Visitors can partake in events such as the summer film festival, Isola del Cinema. Entry is free, but hours may vary by attraction. Access is convenient via the Ponte Fabricio and Ponte Cestio bridges.
