Torre Glòries, originally called Torre Agbar, is a notable skyscraper in Barcelona designed by Jean Nouvel and completed in the early 21st century. Its elongated, bullet-like silhouette and multicoloured glass-and-steel façade—capable of dynamic night illumination—have made it an icon of contemporary Catalan architecture and of the urban renewal in the 22@ innovation district. Commissioned by a local utility, the tower has accommodated offices, cultural exhibitions and occasional public viewpoints. Principal attractions are the distinctive exterior, the integrated lighting scheme, periodic interior displays and its role within Barcelona’s modern skyline. General visitor information: the site is open during established hours, access to particular areas may require an admission fee or be restricted during events. Accessibility features include step-free routes and lifts to public areas.
