The Torre Medieval, or the Tower of D. Pedro Pitões, is a reconstructed medieval tower situated in Porto’s historic area, Portugal. For centuries, it was concealed among other buildings before being revealed during 1940s urban redevelopment. This typical example of medieval architecture was preserved and shifted approximately 15 meters from its original location. Architect Rogério de Azevedo added a Gothic-style stone balcony to the structure. Currently functioning as a tourist office for Porto Tours, the tower holds cultural significance for its historical value, drawing visitors keen on history and architecture.
