Küçüksu Kasrı is a 19th‑century Ottoman waterside pavilion on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus in Istanbul, built as an imperial summer retreat and reception lodge. Architecturally it embodies the eclectic Ottoman taste of the period, blending Baroque and Rococo motifs with European influences; interiors feature rich gilding, painted ceilings, inlaid details and marble finishes. Its historical importance stems from its use for imperial hospitality and as an expression of mid‑19th‑century cultural exchange and modernising tendencies within the Ottoman court. Principal attractions are the main reception hall, decorated salons, ornate fireplaces, and the garden and terrace offering framed views of the Bosphorus. The pavilion is open to the public during seasonal visiting arrangements and generally charges an admission; accessibility is sometimes limited because of the building’s historic structure and compact plan.
