Nationalquai in Lucerne is a scenic quay by Lake Lucerne, located between the Grand Hotel National and Palace Luzern. It began as a short stretch in front of the Grand Hotel National but was extended in the 1880s due to the construction of the Kursaal Casino, and again between 1904 and 1906 with the Palace Hotel. The quay is adorned with chestnut trees and houses the Matthias Luchsinger Square, named after a former mayor. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the lake, pleasant strolls, and nearby attractions. The area is easily accessible, making it a perfect spot for tourists to soak in the beauty of Lucerne’s waterfront.
