The Homomonument in Amsterdam is an important memorial, unveiled on September 5, 1987, dedicated to honouring all LGBTQ+ individuals persecuted for their sexual orientation. Situated between the Westerkerk and the Keizersgracht, it features three pink granite triangles forming a larger triangle, symbolising remembrance and hope. The site serves as a place for reflection and hosts annual commemorations, including a vigil on May 4th for LGBTQ+ victims of oppression. Entrance is free and it is accessible to all. Nearby, the Pink Point kiosk provides LGBTQ+ information and souvenirs.
