Víkin, known as the Reykjavik Maritime Museum, is an important maritime museum situated by the old harbour in Reykjavík. Since its establishment in 2005, it has displayed Iceland's extensive maritime history, focusing on fishing practices from early settlements to contemporary times. A key attraction is the former Coast Guard vessel Óðinn, which was significant in the Cod Wars. The museum comprises seven exhibitions that highlight Iceland's fishing industry and maritime activities. Visitors can walk on a reconstructed deck of the steamship Gullfoss, immersing themselves in the maritime narrative.
