Louis XIII Staircase - Free Audio Guide

The Escalier Louis XIII, or Horseshoe Staircase, is a significant architectural feature of the Château de Fontainebleau, renowned for its distinct horseshoe shape. Constructed between 1632 and 1634 by architect Jean Androuet du Cerceau, it has been the site of many historical events, including Napoleon’s farewell to his guards in 1814.
