The Fuente de Neptuno, found in Plaza de Cánovas del Castillo in Madrid, is a neoclassical fountain that was completed in 1786. Created by Ventura Rodríguez, the fountain features the Roman god Neptune sitting atop a chariot drawn by sea horses and is surrounded by dolphins and seals. Originally located on the Calle de San Jerónimo, it was relocated to its current position in 1898. This fountain forms part of a series of monumental sculptures commissioned during the reign of Charles III, illustrating the city’s modernization. Visitors can appreciate the beautiful architecture and lively plaza atmosphere. It is fully accessible and a popular meeting spot for sports fans celebrating their team's victories. Admission is free.
