Museum Kimchikan, located in Insa-dong, Seoul, is a unique food museum dedicated to kimchi, a staple of Korean cuisine. Established in 1986, it was the first museum of its kind in Korea and offers insights into kimchi's history, varieties, and cultural significance. Visitors can participate in kimchi-making demonstrations, tastings, and cooking classes. The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Mondays, as well as during major holidays. Admission fees are KRW 5,000 for adults, KRW 3,000 for adolescents, and KRW 2,000 for children. The Cabbage Kimchi Workshop costs KRW 25,000. The museum was selected as one of the world's top food museums by CNN in 2015.
