The Museo Sorolla is a national art museum located in Madrid, Spain, dedicated to the works of the famous painter Joaquín Sorolla. Housed in his former residence and studio, built in 1911, the museum was inaugurated in 1932 after his wife Clotilde García del Castillo bequeathed the collection to the state. Visitors can explore a well-preserved home that showcases Sorolla's vibrant paintings, drawings, sculptures, and personal belongings. The museum is recognized as a Cultural Heritage Site since 1962. Opening hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Admission is free on specific days, but otherwise, a modest fee applies. The site is accessible for visitors with reduced mobility.
