The Casino de Montréal, located on Île Notre-Dame in Montreal, Quebec, is the largest casino in both Quebec and Canada. It opened on October 9, 1993, in the former France and Quebec pavilions from Expo 67. Designed by architects Jean Faugeron and André Blouin, the casino features over 80 gaming tables and 3,000 slot machines across six floors. It also includes three restaurants and a 500-seat Cabaret for shows and musical revues. The casino has undergone expansions over the years, with the most recent one completed in 2013, adding the Quebec Pavilion. Plans for a 200-room hotel adjacent to the casino are in progress, with an estimated completion by 2026 or 2027. The Casino de Montréal has been a popular entertainment destination, attracting over 6.2 million visitors annually by March 2006.
