Amphitrite is a bronze fountain and sculpture group located on KNSM Island in Amsterdam. Created by artist Albert Termote in 1956, it was commissioned to commemorate the centenary of the Royal Dutch Steamship Company. The artwork depicts the sea goddess Amphitrite and symbolizes the strong connections among former employees of the company. The installation has undergone several relocations due to urban development but returned to its original site in 2009. Visitors can enjoy the enchanting fountain, which includes four bronze figures rising from the water. The site is accessible and free to visit, making it a must-see for tourists exploring Amsterdam's rich maritime history.
