Jarry Park, located in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough of Montreal, is a significant urban park spanning 36 hectares. It is notable for its historical significance as the former home of the Montreal Expos, Canada's first Major League Baseball team, from 1969 to 1976. The park also hosted a major Mass led by Pope John Paul II in 1984. Visitors can enjoy a variety of facilities including sports fields, a skate park, and an artificial lake for ice skating in winter. The park is named after Raoul Jarry, a former city council member. With attractions like the "Paix des enfants" monument, it serves as a cultural hub for events and community gatherings.
