The Mausoleo di Elena is a Roman funerary monument located in Rome along the Via Casilina. Constructed between 315 and 326 AD by Emperor Constantine I, it was originally intended as his tomb but later became the final resting place of Flavia Julia Helena, his mother. The mausoleum, notable for its unique circular architecture featuring two stacked cylindrical drums, is part of the ancient complex known as Ad Duas Lauros. Visitors can access the site on Mondays to Wednesdays and Fridays to Sundays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with prior reservation required. Admission fees are minimal, and the site is part of a broader archaeological area, enhancing its cultural significance.
