The Church of San Miguel, formally known as the Royal Church of San Miguel, is a significant Catholic parish temple located in the heart of Segovia, Spain. Originally a Romanesque church, it was demolished in 1532, and the current structure was built nearby. The church is historically important as it is where Queen Isabella I of Castile was proclaimed in 1474. Declared a Cultural Asset of Interest in 2023, it features a stunning main altarpiece completed in 1572, a chapel housing the famous Triptych of the Descent, and the burial site of the notable naturalist Andrés Laguna. The church is easily accessible for visitors and opens daily for tours, with no admission fee.
