The Freundschaftstempel, or Temple of Friendship, is a small round temple located in the western part of Sanssouci Park in Potsdam, Germany. Built between 1768 and 1770 by King Frederick II in memory of his beloved sister, Wilhelmine of Bayreuth, it features a unique design inspired by the Apollotempel in Neuruppin. The temple is an open structure supported by eight Corinthian columns, symbolizing friendship and cultural appreciation. Visitors can admire an over-life-sized statue of Wilhelmine, as well as medallions depicting famous ancient friendships. The site operates daily from 10 AM to 6 PM with no admission fee, making it accessible to all who wish to explore this historical and cultural gem within the picturesque park.
