The Clérigos Church, or Igreja dos Clérigos, is a stunning Baroque church located in Porto, Portugal. Built between 1732 and 1750 by architect Nicolau Nasoni, it features a distinctive 75-meter bell tower, Torre dos Clérigos, which became a city symbol. Visitors can explore the intricately decorated interior, including a remarkable polychromed marble altarpiece. The church, known for its elliptical floor plan, also has a monumental stairway leading to its façade. Open to visitors daily, the tower offers panoramic views after a climb of 240 steps. Admission fees apply for the tower, while access to the church is typically free. The site is easily accessible and holds historical significance as one of the first Baroque churches in Portugal.
