Ezelpoort is one of the four remaining city gates in Bruges, dating back to 1297. Originally rebuilt in 1369, it features a beautiful historic design and is surrounded by water, resembling the Smedenpoort. The gate has undergone significant renovations, with the latest restoration completed in 1993. Today, Ezelpoort serves as a pedestrian and cyclist access point. Since 2010, it houses the administration of Anima Eterna Brugge, a renowned orchestra. Visitors can enjoy the scenic views and explore the surrounding area, embracing the rich history and culture of Bruges. The site is accessible and free to visit, making it a perfect stop for tourists.
