Beestenmarkt is a historic square in Delft, Netherlands, measuring 60 by 50 meters. It originated from the demolition of the Minderbroederklooster and served as the site of the Delft cattle market from 1595 to 1972. Today, it is a vibrant entertainment hub surrounded by eleven hospitality venues. The square features 24 mature plane trees providing shade during summer. Notably, the center of the square showcases "The Bull," an earthenware artwork by artist Rob Brandt. Beestenmarkt is popular for outdoor activities and hosts a skating rink annually from 2001 to 2014 (excluding 2003). The space is accessible for visitors, making it a must-visit for those exploring Delft's rich history and culture.
