The Arco de la Victoria, also known as the Victory Arch, is a monumental archway located in Madrid, Spain. Built between 1950 and 1956, it commemorates the victory of Francisco Franco's forces during the Spanish Civil War. Standing 49 meters tall, it is situated at the entrance of the Ciudad Universitaria and is adorned with allegorical sculptures and inscriptions reflecting its historical significance. Although it was never officially inaugurated, the arch serves as a poignant reminder of a turbulent period in Spanish history. Visitors can appreciate its architectural grandeur and explore the nearby gardens. Currently, there are no admission fees to visit this site, and it is accessible to the public year-round.
