Ruine Manegg is a historic castle ruin situated on a hillside above Leimbach in Zurich, Switzerland. First mentioned in 1303, it served as the ancestral seat of the noble Manesse family, known for the Manessische Handschrift. The castle was destroyed by fire in 1409 and now features only remaining foundation walls. Visitors can explore the site, which offers stunning views of the surrounding area, although the view is partially obstructed by trees. A memorial for writer Gottfried Keller is also located here. The site is accessible via a poorly marked hiking trail from Sihltal. There is no admission fee to visit, making it an excellent spot for history enthusiasts and hikers alike.
