De Wokkel is an artistic sculpture located on the A10 ring road in Amsterdam, designed by the engineer and architect Wim Snieder in 1990. The sculpture, made of concrete, stands 1.5 meters high and is known for its unique twisted shape, resembling a popular Dutch snack called "Wokkels". Originally a marker for a merging lane, it has become a landmark along the highway. Although not officially designated as a monument, it holds cultural significance as part of the infrastructure's artistic expression. Visitors can view De Wokkel from the road, but no specific visiting hours or admission fees apply, as it is in a public space accessible by car or bus.
