The villa has a rich history, originally owned by the Tommasi family before being sold in the late 15th century to the Barbigi family. Architecturally, Villa Il Chiuso is defined by its four-sided property layout, which includes the main residence, farm buildings, and a surrounding wall, with a garden at its center. The main facade features a grand double staircase leading to a vaulted portal, flanked by dovecotes connected by a spacious loggia. A straight avenue leads from the portal to an Italian-style garden, characterized by geometric flower beds bordered by boxwood hedges.
