The Capitolium in Ostia, built around 120 AD under Emperor Hadrian, is a significant Roman temple dedicated to the Capitoline Triad: Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva. Located in the archaeological area of Ostia Antica, it features a stunning podium accessed by 21 steps, with a façade of six Corinthian columns. Visitors can explore the temple's remains, including niches that once housed statues of the deities and a beautifully constructed altar. Although closed after 394 AD, its ruins survived and are now part of a UNESCO World Heritage site. The site is open to the public, with varying admission fees and guided tours available. Accessibility options are in place for those with mobility issues.
