Plastische Tekens in Steen, Australiëhavenweg, Geuzenveld, Nieuw-West, Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Nederland, 1067 DG, Nederland

Plastische Tekens in Steen is an artistic installation located in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, created by artist Ben Guntenaar in 1969. Comprising twenty-one arranged travertine stones, this work of art is inspired by the famous Stonehenge, albeit in a smaller scale. Originally placed at Confuciusplein, it was relocated to Australiëhavenweg following a renovation in 2007. The installation serves to enhance the urban landscape, making spaces more livable and culturally rich. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful stroll around the installation, which sits on a hill, and appreciate the juxtaposition with the nearby work titled "Aarde" by Herbert Nouwens. The site is accessible year-round, and there are no admission fees to enjoy this outdoor art exhibit.
