London Mithraeum (Temple of Mithras) is the remains of a Roman Mithraic temple located at Walbrook in the City of London. Constructed in the late 3rd or early 4th century AD, it was rediscovered in 1954 and re‑excavated during major redevelopment in the 2010s; a new visitor space reopened in 2017. The site is significant for illustrating Roman religious practice in Londinium and the cult of Mithras, offering insight into urban ritual life and Roman‑British cultural interaction. Key attractions include the in situ foundations and a reconstructed interior, displayed artefacts and sculptural reliefs, and an atmospheric presentation interpreting worship and iconography. The site generally operates to scheduled opening hours and usually offers free admission; accessible facilities and provisions for visitors with mobility or sensory needs are provided. Interpretive panels and museum‑standard conservation accompany the finds.
