The Obelisk in Stockholm is a historical monument inaugurated on October 3, 1800, as a token of gratitude from King Gustav III to the citizens of Stockholm for their vigilance during the Russo-Swedish War (1788–1790). Originally made of Swedish granite, it was replaced in 2020 with a new replica crafted from Bohus granite. The new obelisk, which weighs 280 tons, symbolizes human collaboration and resilience. Visitors can enjoy the monument located in Gamla Stan, the old town of Stockholm, which is known for its cobblestone streets and picturesque views. There are no admission fees to visit, and the site is accessible to the public year-round.
