The Church of San Martino is a Catholic place of worship located in Siena. Historically significant, it was the most important church in the area during the early Middle Ages, giving its name to the Terzo di San Martino. Documented as early as the 8th century, it underwent renovation and expansion in 1537 under the design of Giovan Battista Pelori. Its façade showcases Roman Mannerist styles, created by Giovanni Fontana, while the interior features a single nave with a deep presbytery adorned with frescoes by Annibale Mazzuoli. Key artworks include pieces by Raffaello Vanni, Domenico Beccafumi, and Guercino. The church houses a rich history reflected in its artwork and architecture.
