The Tempio di Apollo Sosiano, also known as the Temple of Apollo in Circo, is an ancient Roman temple located near the Teatro di Marcello in Rome. Initially constructed in 431 BC, it was dedicated to Apollo Medico and underwent several renovations by notable figures, including Gnaeus Julius and Augustus. The temple exemplifies Augustan architectural style, featuring a stunning facade with six marble columns and decorative elements celebrating Augustus’ triumphs. Visitors can admire the three reconstructed columns and explore the surrounding archaeological area, which includes the nearby Temple of Bellona.
