Richard III Museum - Free Audio Guide

The Richard III Experience at Monk Bar, formerly the Richard III Museum, is dedicated to the life and reign of Richard III, the last king of the Plantagenet dynasty. Located within Monk Bar, one of York's historical gatehouses, the museum features exhibitions exploring Richard's early life and his role in the Wars of the Roses, as well as multimedia presentations of significant battles. Key attractions include arms and armor from Richard's period, and a unique fragment of a period gun. Although closed since 2020, the museum was notable for its in-depth portrayal of this pivotal historical figure.
