The Bach-Museum Leipzig is dedicated to the life and works of the composer Johann Sebastian Bach. Located in the historic Bosehaus at Thomaskirchhof, the museum is part of the Bach Archive Leipzig. Since its opening in 1985, it has welcomed over 850,000 visitors. The museum was originally led by musicologist Cornelia Krumbiegel, who played a key role in its establishment. After a six-month closure for modernization from October 1999 to March 2000, the exhibition space was expanded to 450 square meters, offering a thematic arrangement of exhibits. The museum serves as a significant cultural site, providing insights into Bach's legacy and influence on music.
